What video card should I get for my computer?

I have an hp G60 laptop with 64 bit windows 7. it has a 2.19 GHz Intel Celeron processor, so it's the video card that really needs to be upgraded. I really don't know what's what when it comes to video cards, so I'm trying to find something that's fairly inexpensive, but gets my wow framerate up past 10 :D|||You can NOT replace the video card on a g60 without replacing the motherboard too. VERY expensive proposition! Just like a car, the parts and the labor are MUCH more expensive than a preassembled unit.

With a celeron processor, there isn't going to be much improvement anyways. Sorry. A desktop for the same price could have gotten you much better gaming experience, AND it would have been upgradeable. But of course desktops have no mobility. My kids do all their gaming on custom xps DESKTOPS and use their laptops just for school.

You might consider putting more ramm into it. It has only 3G so it's not moving in dual channel mode. If you put in MATCHED pairs, you'll not only have more quantity but have dual channel so it will be a bit faster. That unit has a SLOW HD, you can upgrade it, but that's about all you can do for that machine.

Your video subsystem uses SHARED memory so make sure you shut down all unneeded applications. Of course, gamers NEVER put a P2P client on the same machine they game on. If you're at a KNOWN SAFE site or server, you can turn off antivirus and firewall. Just make sure to turn it back on.

You can get higher frame rate by turning down screen resolution and 3d effects. Do a trade off, juggle settings between the three possibilities until you find one that gives you the best results.

Good luck have fun.|||Basically in laptop You cant add graphics card because mostog graphics card are inbuilt

You can buy external graphics card

IOGear USB 2.0 External DVI Video Card GUC2020DW6

*Box Content - USB to DVI Adapter, Quick Start Guide, CD-ROM with User Guide and *Installation Software, and 4-feet USB 2.0 Cable

*For Office Use - View large spreadsheets across two screens with display continuity

*Multitask more effectively without overlapping windows

*Open attachments on one screen while reading the e-mail on the other

*For Graphic Use - Second display for pallets & tools|||Is it a single core, or a dual core Celeron processor? If it's a single core, don't expect to enjoy pretty much any gaming.

Some laptops have upgradeable graphic cards, some don't. Since you have a cheap processor in your laptop, I don't think there is a way to upgrade the graphics at all.|||Ummm usually on a laptop system, to get a video card that fits to the model of the laptop it will cost about 1/2 of what the laptop was, or more, thus it's usually better to buy a new laptop.
