30W AC Adapter|||Don't listen to the other answers I have done this myself and have a lot of experience in this field. The system will run quite a bit faster than if it was to have XP installed on it. One word of caution though. 3 CELL BATTERIES DRAIN FAST IN WINDOWS 7. In XP you will probably get about 2 - 2 1/2 Hours out of the battery. In windows 7 1 - 1 1/2 Hours of battery. Hope this helps|||with 1 gig ram and even with that slow processor, i know there is 100% chance that you will go back to XP, in the meantime you wasted money on a license for win7, lost preinstalled software, etc|||Your system will run great with Win 7 and, in fact, there is a lite version specifically for that setup. MANY netbooks are now sold with the upgrade of 7 built right in.

www.thessdreview.com|||Windows 7 needs 1 gig of ram and you have it, my friend did the same with his netbook, and it works fine, no problems. Go ahead.|||same you would need at least 2gb memory

try this see what microsoft say....|||Its not recommend to upgrade Netbooks that comes with Windows XP|||I would not recommend it

System 7 is more memory intensive that XP was, which was designed for computers running 10 years ago. System 7 has the following system requirements --

* 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster 32/64-bit processor.

* 1 gigabyte (GB) RAM (32-bit) or 2 GB RAM (64-bit).

* 16 GB available hard disk space

* DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver.

Notice that you would have little to no RAM left after loading the OS (1GB=1024 MB) - which means you would be able to run the OS, but that's about it! For this reason alone, you should not upgrade.

XP on the other hand only requires 64 megabytes of RAM (128 recommended). This leaves the bulk of your RAM for other things like applications.

If you are looking to speed up your Netbook, you might want to consider some of the more recent Linux distributions. Ubuntu releases one specifically for netbooks that would most likely run faster than XP.

Good luck.
