Good laptop (windows 7 + dual core processor)?

i'm looking to buy a laptop that will mainly be used for internet and word documents etc, i would like to have a dual core processor...any ideas (must have windows 7)

this computer may also become my families 2nd computer so i also need a good video card....any ideas???|||I suggest the Hp pavilion dv4. I am answering this question with my own! It's a great laptop for internet and documents, music, etc. I bought mine before Windows 7 released =( but now they are updated with Windows 7. It would be a good family computer, it's normal, modern, and a good computer!|||Asus is the best, most reliable Laptop brand. If either for your parents or yourself I recommend checking them out. I found a nice Asus Laptop that is also good for other things such as gaming ect... Would make a good family Laptop if thats what you want it for. Here's a link to the page I found it at:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00352L…|||U could look for the "Compaq Presario CQ62Z series" on hp.com (base-price $379.99)

Then customize it to include (customized price: $599.99):

AMD Athlon(TM) II Dual-Core Processor for Notebook PCs N330 (2.3GHz, 1MB L2 Cache)

512MB ATI Mobility Radeon(TM) HD545v Graphics [HDMI, VGA]

5-in-1 integrated Digital Media Reader

4GB DDR3 System Memory (2 Dimm)

or

look on the same site for "G72t series" (base-price $599.99)

and add a 512MB ATI Mobility Radeon(TM) HD 5430 Graphics [HDMI, VGA] for $75

(this laptop has a big screen and an intel i3 cpu and also a free upgrade to 4gb)

or try a different combination with an as good a videocard as possible.

Note: When buying a laptop buy with upgrades in mind. It's very hard to upgrade a processor or graphicscard in a laptop but upgrading the memory often is quite easy. So best make sure u have the best graphics and cpu u can afford and have a user-accessable empty memoryslot for future memory upgrade. (also find out the maximum memory the laptop can hold) Getting a bigger hdd in the future also isn't to hard but u have the difficulty of moving the os to the new hdd then which can be a bit complicating because windows might need special drivers during installation. There are ways to copy an os though by using a partition imager like bootit-ng and an external usb2 hdd. So u can hold back on memory and hdd-size in your purchase and focus on cpu and graphics.
