How do i access the settings for my graphics/video card?

i have a windows 7 professional with a ATI 8500 videocard

how do i access the settings or it?|||hi dan

the settings for the graphics card you have will depend if you have a laptop or a desktop pc.... it also depends if you want to access the bios settings or the graphics settings such as resolution or detail settings

on a laptop and desktop pc there are several settings found in the bios, and with intergrated graphics adapters you can alter the amount of memory allocated to the onboard graphics in the bios,, however the lower the memory to the graphics the worse the performance so be aware of this before changing these settings

from the windows desktop ati graphic cards can be configured using the "catylyst control center" which is normally found by right clicking the desktop menu and selecting "catylyst control center " .... you then have a choice of either a basic or advanced control center.... choose advanced

from there you can change resolution.. video modes and overclocking features... however theres much more than just these...

good luck dan !
