I have a Dell Vostro 1500, bought it in 2007. I originally had Windows XP but recently just upgraded to Windows 7. After upgrading, I'm unable to use my VGA to hook up an external monitor to my laptop because it doesn't detect it. I have an integrated video card and i can't seem to find an update for the video card to allow my laptop to detect an external monitor.
I tried using Windows 7 automatic hardware update but it says my video card is up-to-date and im havent been able to find any upgrades online. My service tag has been rubbed away so I cant really look it up on dell.
So anyone know how I can get an external monitor hooked up to my laptop or know where i can find the update for my video card?|||Dell shows only Vista drivers for your laptop
Most Vista video drivers will work on Windows 7 also.
You don't really need to give a service tag to download drivers from Dell.
You can also download chip set (integrated video) drivers from the chip set manufacturer's website.|||You can find the best deal in the Amazon's Cyber Week Deals http://www.amazon.com/b?ie=UTF8&node=384082011&tag=cyber-week-deals-20
