Video and graphic card for windows 7?

i recently updated my intel computer from xp to windows 7.the screensaver is not working because my graphic card is outdated.programs such as autodesk maya is not working because of my graphic card. what is the best way to update my video driver, if thats the problem ???must i physically install a new graphic card or can i just update it with software??many thanks|||Check what Video card you have, right-click on Computer (on the desktop or in the start menu) go down to properties in the properties window it should list your video card. (company and model)

Go to the respective company website (Nvidia, ATI, or Intel) there should be a link for driver updates (Nvida drivers are called "Forceware", ATI are called "Catalyst")

Go to the drivedownload page, select your video card (Nvidia ones will ask which series it is), download and install. If this does not solve your problem. You need a new video card.|||If you update your operating system to windows 7, you need also to download the driver of your graphics card because, the one you currently have is the built in driver that come in your operating system.
