Can someone help me find a video card driver for my sony vaio laptop?

i had a virus a bit ago so i wiped my hard drive, i dont have a recovery disk for my laptop so i basically just re-installed windows 7 and got most of the drivers i needed off the sony website but i cant seem to find one for my video card. i cant play games on my laptop and im trying to refrain from taking my computer to best buy... help PLEASEE!!|||That is THE problem with Sony. They will not give you drivers. Never ever. I have begged them. Offered to pay them. Been on the phone for hours arguing with them. Nope. No drivers. Only the recovery disk.

My typical Sony rant:

"The only brand I would steer clear from is Sony, and that has nothing to do with performance, quality of product, or product support:

I hate all Sony computers. They come loaded with crap that is only useful if you own a Sony camcorder and a buttload of other Sony products. Worst of all, you can't get drivers for them. You can only get the "Recovery Disk." So in other words, if you want to upgrade, downgrade, or change your operating system, then you are screwed. When Windows 8 comes out & you have a Sony... well too bad for you."|||What is the model number and name if installed graphics/video card chip set ?

Have to have this to find the correct driver(s).

What did you use to reinstall the OS as you said you do not have the recovery disc set made for your lap top ?

Why did you not create the recovery disc set or order the correct ones from Sony support by model and serial number for the lap top ?|||Your best bet is to download the appropriate video driver from the Sony support website. Since the Windows 7 install disk didn't detect your video card, you must have an older laptop. If a Windows 7 driver isn't listed, use the Vista driver (or an XP driver if nothing more modern is available). http://esupport.sony.com/CA/perl/select-…|||You would have to have included the model number, otherwise we can't do anything for you.

I will say that windows update will likely have the driver, so us the windows update utility from your programs list.|||What is your current laptop graphics card model? Have you tried visiting their website and downloading the latest drivers? Not from Sony's website but from the graphics card (Nvidia, ATI, Intel)
